Official: Turkey not to impose duties on Russian hot-rolled steel

ANKARA, Apr 20 (PRIME) -- Turkey has ceased an antidumping investigation into exporters of hot-rolled products from seven countries, including Russia, and will not impose any duties, a representative of the Russian trade mission in Turkey told PRIME on Wednesday.

“An antidumping investigation against metals producers of all the seven countries is ceased as Turkish hot-rolled steel producers, who initiated it, withdrew their application. That’s why temporary duties, introduced earlier for Russian producers of rolled stock, are abolished, and permanent duties will not be introduced. Those duties, which were paid by Russian metals companies since January of this year will be returned to them,” the representative said.

Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) earlier received a dumping margin of 13.66%, Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK) of 9.42%, and Severstal of 12.43%.
